Description Polystyrene is a colorless and transparent thermoplastic, among which expanded polystyrene is commonly known as Styrofoam.

Application This is a well-defined polystyrene with thiol functionality on one end and cyano on the other. The thiol functionality is versatile and commonly used in surface modifying nanoparticles; attaching to Au to form self assembled monolayers (SAMs); as well as thiol - ene click chemistry.

Features And Benefits It is easily corroded by strong acid and alkali, and can be dissolved by various organic solvents, such as acetone and ethyl acetate.
