Description Poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) and its copolymers are among the most studied biodegradable polymers. PLLA is a crystalline polymer with good mechanical properties. The applications of PLLA are mainly concentrated in biomedical applications.
Application This poly(L-lactide) is a well-defined biodegradable polymer which is functionalized with an alcohol on one end and an acrylate on the other. Acrylates are commonly used in polymerizations or in ligatation to thiols with thiol-ene click chemistry. Polylactide is commonly used in several applications including drug delivery, compatibilizer, emulsifier, thermoplastic elastomer or impact-resistant plastic.
Features And Benefits Non-toxic and good biocompatibility
