Description The polymers are bioresorbable aliphatic polyesters comprised of a range of different ratios of lactide and glycolide monomers, PLA stereochemistries, and end-group functionalization. These biodegradeable homopolymers and copolymers of lactide and glycolide afford a variety of properties that range from very stiff, hard semi-crystalline materials with long degradation times, to softer, amorphous materials with faster degradation rates.
Application It is a pharmaceutical polymer, which finds potential usage in drug delivery and gene delivery. It forms a three-dimensional porous scaffold, which can be used in tissue engineering.
Features And Benefits Poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) is a biodegradable and biocompatible aliphatic polyester, can be used in the development of nano and microparticles.
