Description Poly(DL-lactide) (PDLLA) is a ubiquitous biodegradable polymer. It is often used to make medical devices that degrade predictably within months under physiological conditions. Well-studied release profiles also allow functionalization of drug release with calculable results. Due to its long history, PDLLA is one of the most widely known and affordable biodegradable polymers in medical devices today.
Application Used in Drug Delivery including coating nanoparticles1. Can be end-group functionalizated2 or used as a macroinitiator/block precursor3.
