- Medical Filter Coating
In most cases, a coating is applied to the filter's surface to improve performance or offer protection. Alfa Chemistry offers a number of surface coating processes to optimize the performance of filters for medical applications. Hydrophilic, hydrophobic, and oleophobic surface coatings are among our filter coating alternatives. These scalable medical filtration solutions are simple to apply and attach to a range of surfaces. Please get in touch with us so we can work together to produce a successful filter!
Medical filter and membrane issues can be solved with thin-film surface coating technology. Here are some examples of situations where our filter surface modification coatings can help you improve the quality of your product.
Our medical filter surface modification method creates robust and long-lasting hydrophobic and oleophobic nanocoatings (as thin as 2-4 nm) on the product's surface. Water contact angles are 115°-120° and oil contact angles are 75°-85° as a result. Our coatings maintain the visual integrity and optical clarity of your products.
We also create hydrophilic surfaces that are strong, thin, and optically transparent. The resulting water contact angle is around 10 degrees. Creating water-wet surfaces that attract liquids to desired regions is a common application.
All of the approaches listed above can be carried out under basic circumstances and processes, and they can be easily implemented using a variety of liquid phase techniques. To improve product performance, hydrophobic/oleophobic and hydrophilic technologies can be utilized alone or in combination.
Alfa Chemistry has developed a novel antimicrobial parylene coating technique that combines the advantages of biocompatible parylene with antimicrobial capabilities to effectively eradicate hazardous germs from the coating. This technology has found its way into a wide range of medical equipment and applications.
