Customized hydrophobic nano-coating

One of the main causes of electronic failure is corrosion. When the component breaks, moisture will penetrate in. Water and Oil Repellent Technical Challenges

The most viscous food, the most viscous oil will be difficult to adhere to fluorine-based materials. The ability to repel water, oil and dirt is probably the most famous feature provided by fluorine-based resins and coatings. Why are fluoropolymers not sticky and repellent?

Due to the stable CF bond, fluorine-containing compounds have less attractive force between molecules.

  • It produces low surface tension. On the other hand, the molecules of water and oil have stronger cohesive energy, and the molecules attract each other, resulting in high surface tension.
  • The liquid is repelled because the liquid molecules are more attractive than the processed material and form droplets.
  • Microbes and other organisms are unlikely to adhere to the surface of fluorine materials. In this case, they can usually digest fluorine materials, thereby slowing their growth.
