Customized Optical Thin Film Coating

INQUIRY

Alfa Chemistry can develop unique optical film coatings to fulfill specific customer requirements in addition to the many conventional optical films mentioned on our website. We can apply a wide range of optical coatings onto flat optical surfaces. We also have the ability to cover substrates with unusual shapes.

We will collaborate closely with you to completely comprehend your needs. Our design engineers will assess your needs and present you with a coating solution to consider. If you are looking for a fully customized thin film coating, please contact us and suggest the characteristics of the custom coating you need.

Types of Optical Coatings We Produce

The most common types of optical coatings we make are listed below. You can use our bespoke optics services to create coating designs for your custom substrates in addition to our regular coatings.

Metallic and dielectric mirror coatings

The primary purpose of this coating is to reduce reflection and increase imaging quality. Fully dielectric or metallic layers, such as aluminum, enhanced aluminum, silver, gold, chrome, copper, or platinum, are used. Reflection, incidence, polarization, and other qualities can all be customized to meet individual needs.

Single and multi-layer anti-reflection coatings

Unwanted reflections are reduced or eliminated thanks to the coatings. They also protect unprotected glass surfaces from ghosting or duplicate laser beams.

Beam Splitter and partial transmission coatings

This dielectric or metal-coated optical coating is utilized for light or laser radiation neutral splitting or restricted dampening. To reduce undesirable secondary reflections and energy loss, the rear side can be covered with an anti-reflection coating.

Types of Optical Coatings We Produce

Coating for cold mirror, illumination applications

In the visible band, the dielectric optical coating has a high reflectivity and great transmittance, whereas in the infrared spectrum, it has a low reflectivity. Cut-off wavelengths and reflection ranges can be tailored to match the needs of individual customers.

Thermal mirrors and heat reflective coatings

These coatings, which have a high visual transmittance and a high infrared reflectance, are primarily employed to prevent thermal and infrared radiation. The cut-off wavelength, light transmission, and reflection range of the filters can all be customized.

ITO transparent conductive coatings

In visible and defined thin layers of resistance, these coatings exhibit high optical transmission. Surface resistance, transmittance, and film thickness can all be tailored to your preferences. Infrared reflective optics are usually made of ITO coatings with low surface resistance.

Other optical coatings

We are not limited to the coating types and characteristics mentioned previously. We also make dichroic precision beam splitter coatings, dichroic filters, UV coatings, lens coatings, band pass filters, short pass filters, long pass filters, and other thin film coatings to customer specifications.
