What Can We Offer?

Typical functions that we can embed in the coating on the plastic substrate include: anti-scratch; anti-static; anti-fouling/hydrophobic; anti-reflection; anti-glare; near-infrared absorption; high refractive index; low refractive index; and so on. One or more of the above functions can be combined in one layer. Characteristics such as high light transmittance and low haze are standard.

Semi-Permanent Reversible Coating

Alfa Chemistry can construct a one-component, transparent, water-based acrylic coating, which is specially developed for applications with non-porous surfaces, such as plastics. It can provide long-term protection, gloss, and color retention for plastic surfaces. The coating is dustproof and waterproof, giving the surface an original appearance.

Silica-Based Protective Nanocoating

Alfa Chemistry can build an innovative nano-coating based on silicon dioxide (SiO2) on the plastic surface to form a permanent protective layer without changing the appearance of the surface.

  • The coating protects the surface from paint, oil, water, and staining.
  • The protective layer ensures that the adhesion of dirt is reduced and the treated surface is easy to clean.
  • The protective layer is very resistant to wear and high temperature (450°C).
  • The protective layer can be applied to all smooth and hard surfaces.

The protective nano-coating based on silica is very suitable for plastics such as PVC, plexiglass, polycarbonate, ABS, and AMMA.

Non-Stick and Super-Hydrophobic Coating Based on SiO2

The coating is suitable for smooth surfaces of plastics, precious metals, or painted surfaces due to its specific formulation. Hydrophobic and oleophobic effects make pollutant particles such as grease and greasy dirt, scale, and environmental pollution materials less adhere to the substrate, or make it easy to remove from the nanocoating.

  • UV stability allows the function to be used for several years
  • Permanent chemical bond to the substrate for excellent wear resistance
  • The product can resist almost all standard household and industrial cleaners (except concentrated lye)
