Customized Dry Lubrication Coating

INQUIRY

To minimize damage during relative motion and reduce friction and wear, dry lubrication often employs anti-friction coatings or unique surface treatments. It decreases surface friction under a variety of extreme conditions, such as high and low temperatures, high and low pressures, and locations where liquids and oils are not permitted. This coating is a good substitute for fluid lubricants since it reduces friction and prevents seizing and wear.

The inorganic component graphite, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), and the polymer substance polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) are the most often utilized dry lubricating materials. They have excellent lubricating characteristics and can be utilized in settings where wet grease or oil cannot be used to reduce friction. Alfa Chemistry can create a dry lubricating coating for your specific substrate to improve the performance of your product.

Learn About Lubricating Materials

Alfa Chemistry provides a variety of lubricant coating alternatives to protect products that require friction reduction. Three types of lubricating compounds are the subject of our dry lubricant coating:

Fluoropolymer

Fluoropolymer coatings are great dry lubricants for creating smooth, firm, and smooth surfaces. These coatings are applied in a single coat, with the coating fusing to the substrate to create substantial adhesion. Fluoropolymers have good heat, cold, corrosion, and chemical resistance in addition to a low coefficient of friction.

Polymer Blend

We also offer a combination of low-friction fluoropolymer compounds in a strong and stable organic polymer matrix. The surface abrasion resistance of this hybrid fluoropolymer coating is outstanding, as is the resistance to friction, heat, cold, corrosion, and chemicals.

Molybdenum Disulfide

Molybdenum disulfide dry film lubricating coatings protect high-load bearing components from friction.

A lubricant quality of up to 250000 psi can be maintained on the surface of items coated with molybdenum disulfide. To improve adhesion to the coated part's base metal, most molybdenum disulfide coatings include extra high-performance resins.

Our dry lubricants provide good lubrication and a low friction coefficient, as well as corrosion resistance, making them a perfect coating for customers across a wide range of sectors.

Semi-Wet Dry Lubricant Coating

The semi-wet coating is made up of lubricants dissolved in a fluorine-based solvent that can produce a homogeneous film on the surface. It can achieve great endurance thanks to the lubricity of fluorine oil and polytetrafluoroethylene, and it is extensively used as a grease alternative.

Improved operability and the flexibility to supply colored or clear solutions, depending on our clients' needs, are two advantages of semi-wet lubricating coatings.

Dry Lubricant Coating (Full Dry Type)

The coating is made up of lubricants dissolved in a fluorine-based solvent that can build a homogenous film on the substrate's surface. The fluorine-based dry coating formula is suitable with any material, including resin, rubber, and metal. As a result, they are excellent for sliding parts with a similar look under medium and low stresses.

This coating can be utilized in exterior parts because it is fully dry and will not promote oil leakage or transcription.
